Joy, I'm so sorry that you got hurt at the meet. You bring such amazing energy to the track, and you were so thoughtful to make special Pride Meet ribbons for us. Joy, What a surprise it was to receive a ribbon from you yesterday morning, and then have you tie it on me before pacing the 5K. My heart sank when I saw you go down on your hurdle race. And then the reality hit that you wouldn't be able to tie on my ribbon before the Mile race. I tied it on and at that starting line was thinking of your strength and commitment to this sport and our community.
